Paranormal

Even though I named this category "Paranormal", some of you out there might regard it is occult. It all depends on your value system, I suppose.

In this instance, my definition of Paranormal refers to parapsychology and includes topics such as ESP (Extra Sensory Perception), Out of Body Experiences, Auras and so on. I regard this category as "Mindpower" mostly, and argue that all human beings (and possibly animals) have this ability. - Although (many / most) people are not displaying any ability, it is a skill like any other skill (where some are better at some things than others....)

My interest in the Paranormal dates back to when I was about 12 years old. I can not explain where this interest came from. It is definitely not something that was read or discussed at home, with family or friends (at that time). Many people say paranormal studies or paractising stems from the Devil. I think it is largely because of the confusion between paranormal powers and that of the occult. (I'm not saying occult is from the Devil!)

My first book that I bought myself was How to Read the Aura, Practice Psychometry, Telepathy and Clairvoiance by W.E. Butler (ISBN 0-892-81705-4). If you want to findout more about the paranormal, then the title of that book contains some of the keywords that you can search your favourite on-line bookstore for.

More information on this topic can be found at the mind, body and spirit section of Go to Barnes & Noble (605 bytes)
If you can still obtain it, you should read The Signet Handbook of Parapsychology, by Martin Ebon (ISBN 0-451-09500-6).
